Dear Neuropathy Suffer:
Let me say this bluntly. It doesn’t matter if you’ve tried every “conservative” medical treatment available... have tried grueling rounds of physical therapy... have taken enough drugs to choke a horse... been to dozens of different types of doctors... or even tried home remedies including pills, potions or lotions you found on the internet.
If nothing has giving you true, lasting, long term relief, you’ll want to read every word of this article. The information I’m about to share with you has been life altering for countless people just like you who were once suffering from this debilitating condition and are finally finding relief... safely and naturally.
To understand how to battle neuropathy, you first have to understand exactly what Neuropathy is. Neuropathy, also known as peripheral neuropathy, is an inflammation, injury, or degeneration of any nerve outside of the central nervous system. These nerves, known as the peripheral nerves, help the muscles to contract (motor nerves) and allow a range of sensations to be felt (sensory nerves).
Put more simply, your nerves most often become “trapped”, become damaged, and left long enough... can eventually die.
I want to share with you a secret many doctors won’t often spend time explaining. Ready? Neuropathy in some cases is structural and mechanical in nature. So, it makes sense that a chemical solution like Neurontin or another drug can’t and won’t fix a structural problem. In all cases it is from a lack of oxygen to the nerve. This can be from direct pressure on the nerve preventing the oxygen from reaching the nerve, or from a side effect of a procedure, medication or special condition (e.g. diabetes).
The Major symptoms of neuropathy include:
This effects 10-20 million Americans every year, and approximately 50% of diabetics will develop this condition. Many people who use cholesterol drugs (statin drugs) will be effected by this condition as well.
Your pain may come and go or it may be constant. We’ve found that some types of peripheral neuropathy begin suddenly and others can take years.
Research has shown that about 40% of all cases of peripheral neuropathy have a variety of causes such as heredity, autoimmune disorders, nutritional imbalances, tumors, infections or toxins.
About 30% of all cases are caused by diabetes. The remaining 30% of peripheral neuropathy cases are not currently linked to a cause.
Diabetes is the most common cause, and the exact cause of this is still unknown, several factors contribute to the disorder. For instance, diabetics suffer from having high levels of blood glucose that they have to ‘fight to control’. These high glucose levels also have the potential to damage their blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients to their nerves. This is like a time bomb. Once their nerves are damaged, signals either STOP being sent through their body, or the incorrect signals are sent. Then they have symptoms. The damage has already started by the time they have symptoms.
A popular theory for the cause of neuropathy is anoxia, or lack of oxygen to the nerve. This could be the result of poor circulation, impingement of a nerve or too many toxic chemicals (chemotherapy, pesticides, cleaning solvents) creating excess free radicals that ‘remove’ available oxygen.
When the nerve cell is deprived of oxygen it will contract, making itself smaller to conserve oxygen and this enlarges the gap (synaptic junction) between nerve cells. Nerve cells do not come into contact with one another. A nerve impulse must jump across this gap. When the gap gets too big, the electrical nerve impulse cannot make the transition across this gap, and nerve function is impaired.
Prescription medications such as Neurontin (Gabapentin), Cymbalta, Lyrica, amitriptyline and oxycodone do nothing for the peripheral nerves in your legs and arms, but they do numb the nerve roots at the level of the spine. In this way, the dysfunctional peripheral nerve signals cannot reach the central nervous system (brain) thus these dysfunctional nerve signals are not perceived as pain. As with most medications, after a while the body accommodates to the current dosage, the dosage is periodically increased. This can reach a level whereby numbness in the extremities is experienced as well as fuzzy thinking and loss of proprioception (knowing where your feet are in time and space). These symptoms can mimic Alzheimer's and compound your medical situation. Lyrica will even cause some people to gain weight, which will worsen the diabetic neuroapthy!
Peripheral neuropathy can be a very complicated disorder and there are many possible causes why one could feel their symptoms.
If anoxia or lack of oxygen to the nerve is the primary cause, then treatment should be geared towards it. However, no western medical treatment takes this into account, because there are no drugs that perform this action.
If there was, you would have seen it on TV by now.
Is it possible? The answer is yes. Here’s how. Imagine being able to “turn down” your pain receptors the same way you would turn down your radio.
I have actually personally researched the top NEUROPATHY TREATMENTS out there and customized a special neuropathy treatment.
Not everyone is a candidate for this type of treatment, but we screen everyone to make sure they are.
During an evaluation, our goals are:
1. To establish that neuropathy is the actual problem.
2. Establish if the nerve can be "revived." If the nerve is "dead" and sensation cannot be brought back, then it is too late. Nerve cells are the only cells in your body that cannot be brought back to life. That's why paralyzed people, don't start walking again. If they do, it's always a miracle.
This why it is extremly important to act fast, because time can be your friend or enemy.
Each case is different. We have accepted and corrected patients that have had this condition for 20 years, and we have also not accepted patients who have had this condition for 1 year. Each case is different, which is why we screen people before we accept them as patients.
3. We need to establish the severity of the condition.
After all of this we will determine the course of treatment for the individual patient. Each treatment program is customized for each individual and most of them are multi-pronged approaches.
In truth, it’s often the layering and not each individual therapy alone that actually works so well with neuropathy. That’s why you may have tried many of these therapies individually or at different times without getting the relief you were looking for.
Typically, our patients may experience decreased pain levels... decreased numbness, burning, stabbing and “freezing” sensations... increased muscle strength... more restful sleep... greater muscle relaxation... less tender points... and better overall flexibility, movement and function.
Here’s what some of our patients have to say...
“I had numbness and weakness in my hands. After trying medications, physical therapy and 3 other chiropractors I found one that fixed my neuropathy.” -Nuhn, Seattle, WA
“I was a little skeptical at first, but I had tried everything else. After I saw one of Dr. H’s ads, I figured what the heck, I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.” -Brett, La Quinta
“I just accepted that I had numbness in my heels. After 3 visits I can now start to feel my heels again!” -Maria, Indio
It’s Time To Take Back Control Of Your Life Again...
Pain is a thief. It steals precious moments and time in your life... time you can never get back. That’s not okay. This, in my opinion, is the most important commodity we have. Why waste precious time living in pain and struggling to get through the day when you can get your quality of life back... the life you used to enjoy before you were in pain all the time.
Here’s my offer to you: I’m going to give you your entire first day exam, for just $49 (normally $100).
And, if you were wondering, here’s everything that’s including in this special offer... A Comprehensive Neuropathy Consultation and History with one of our Doctors... A Thorough Multi-Point Neuropathy Examination...This will estabilish what nerves were damaged and if they can be revived... and A Doctor’s Recommended Plan.
Here’s how to take advantage of this special offer right now: Simply call my office at (760) 777-8377, and tell the front office you are calling to set up your “Neuropathy Pain Relief Evaluation”. I’m confident you will be delighted you did.
