Posture And Exercise

Posture And Exercise

These people with very poor posture will put more stress on certain joints which will lead to muscle imbalances and nerve problems.

My mother always told me not to slouch and there is some truth to that when it comes to health. There are many aspects to being healthy, but when it comes to the health of your muscles, joints and nerves. Good posture and exercise rank high on the list.

Sometimes people will have chronic posture problems and cannot physically straighten up until they visit our office. These people with very poor posture will put more stress on certain joints which will lead to muscle imbalances and nerve problems. This will turn into a vicious cycle until there is some kind of intervention. Some people will leave a problem for such a long time that the only possible intervention is surgery. Hopefully this is not the case for you.

As far exercise goes, I'm sure everyone knows that it's good for you. Just make sure you're doing it in a proper manner so you don't stress other joints or cause other injuries. Some people cannot exercise because of the pain, and that is where we will come in. We get you out of pain so you can exercise and be healthy. Everyone is different, but for most people a combination of yoga, resistance training and cardio done every week will keep you strong and healthy for many years to come.
